English Intervention Tutor

Hours – casual as required (by negotiation) up to 10 hours per week

Rate £25 per hour

We are seeking to appoint an Intervention Tutor in English at Thomas Alleyne’s High School, who will work with small groups and 1:1 pupils.

The successful candidate will have a firm commitment to raising whole-school achievement; have a professional approach to staff development; high expectations; and a determination to succeed.

The English department is forward thinking, friendly and supportive; teachers are passionate about academic excellence, collaboration and delivering high quality teaching for every student. The teams consists of full-time and part-time specialists in the department who are responsible for all aspects of the teaching of English throughout the school.

We are a 13 – 18 school at the heart of its community which provides a broad and balanced curriculum for students. The school is passionate about providing effective professional development of our staff.  The school is set in a rural location but is within easy reach of Burton, Derby, Lichfield, Stafford and Stoke.
