Welcome to Orme House. The origin of the name 'Orme' dates back to the 1870's when 'George Orme and Sons Ltd' opened trading as drapers and gentlemen outfitters on Uttoxeter High Street.   Though George Orme and Sons Ltd finished trading in the early 1980's I am pleased that this part of Uttoxeter’s history continues in some small part here at Thomas Alleyne’s.

Both myself and Mrs Moore are passionate about the welfare of the students in Orme House. Part of our role is to monitor the academic progress of students and whilst this progress is obviously vital to the futures of our students it is also important to recognise that life will sometimes present challenges.  Students in Orme House can approach either of us to seek whatever support is necessary should this occur.

Orme students often show the integrity, resilience and empathy that are so vital to success within the classroom and around the school. The philosophy in Orme House is to ensure we recognise and celebrate all types of success, be this a national award or overcoming a personal challenge, and I am happy to say that during my time as head of house I have seen a number of examples of both.
