Equality Statement

Thomas Alleyne's High School is committed to ensuring equal education and opportunity for all students, staff and families, regardless of race, gender, disability, belief, religion or socio-economic background. We value diversity within our community and work to create an inclusive environment for everyone.

We are committed to:

  • Eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation

  • Advancing equality of opportunity

  • Fostering good relations between all groups

Equality is embedded in our everyday practice through our policies and procedures. To strengthen this work, we have set the following objectives:

  1. Monitor and review curriculum changes to ensure good outcomes for all vulnerable groups

  2. Provide appropriate English qualifications for pupils in vulnerable groups

  3. Implement effective strategies to support vulnerable groups following linear exam courses

  4. Improve the quality of classroom support for vulnerable groups

  5. Explore new technologies to support vulnerable groups’ learning, especially in modern foreign languages, internal exams and group work
